With Cloud Portal for imageRUNNER ADVANCE software, users can easily scan hard-copy documents into the cloud while, at the same time, print documents already stored there. To scan, store, or print documents, users need only log-in to the cloud service from the front panel of an imageRUNNER ADVANCE office system—no PC or laptop is required.
The rapid increase of consumers using their mobile devices for business purposes is driving the need for print functionality in those devices. To print from such devices—and even laptops for mobile workers—has historically been a challenge. To do this, one required special printing applications, etc. But that was then.
Users’ printing requirements go far beyond being able to “file, print” from their desktop PC. Recent advances in technology mean that users are no longer confined to their desks to do their work but can work anywhere at any time. Unfortunately, when it came to getting documents onto paper, printing technology had not kept developing at the same pace.
